Chocolate Syrup

Homemade chocolate syrup for your homemade brownies!

yield 1 1/2 cups

 

  • 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
  • 3/4 cup (6 fl ounces) water, boiling
  • 1 1/4 cup (10 ounces) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

 

  1. Combine chocolate and boiling water in a saucepan
  2. Place over medium-low heat and stir until chocolate melts completely
  3. Stir in sugar and raise heat so mixture barley simmers
  4. Cook, stirring constantly (5 minutes)
  5. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla
