Homemade chocolate syrup for your homemade brownies!
yield 1 1/2 cups
- 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
- 3/4 cup (6 fl ounces) water, boiling
- 1 1/4 cup (10 ounces) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Combine chocolate and boiling water in a saucepan
- Place over medium-low heat and stir until chocolate melts completely
- Stir in sugar and raise heat so mixture barley simmers
- Cook, stirring constantly (5 minutes)
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla
